Team & Leadership Effectiveness.

The Team & Leadership Effectiveness model measures how teams and their leaders actually function, built on five published, evidence-based diagnostics: Lencioni's Five Dysfunctions of a Team (Team Dynamics), Bill George's Authentic Leadership, Amy Edmondson's Psychological Safety, Radical Candor with the Emotional Bank Account (Honest Feedback), and Simon Sinek's Golden Circle (Clear Purpose). Assessment is a 45-statement behavioural questionnaire scored on a 1–5 Likert scale, producing a maturity score per dimension and sub-category on a five-band ladder from Absent through Emerging, Developing and Established to Embedded. Unlike an engagement survey, it scores observable team and leadership behaviour against named frameworks — showing exactly which practice to build next.

What the Team & Leadership Effectiveness model measures

Team Dynamics
How well the team works together as a unit, based on Patrick Lencioni's Five Dysfunctions of a Team: vulnerability-based trust, unfiltered debate, commitment, peer accountability, and focus on collective results.
Authentic Leadership
Whether managers and supervisors lead from purpose, values, relationships, self-discipline, and compassion — Bill George's five dimensions of authentic leadership.
Psychological Safety
The extent to which people can speak up, admit mistakes, ask for help, and contribute ideas without fear — Amy Edmondson's framing of psychological safety as the foundation of learning organisations.
Honest Feedback
Whether the organisation can deliver clear, caring, and timely feedback — drawing on Kim Scott's Radical Candor and the Emotional Bank Account model of trust-based challenge.
Clear Purpose
Whether the organisation's Why, How, and What are clear, aligned, and visible in daily work — Simon Sinek's Golden Circle applied as a maturity lens.

How it's assessed

  • Stakeholder Assessment Self-report questionnaire completed by stakeholders across the organisation. Forty-five behavioural statements scored on a 1-5 Likert scale, grouped under the five diagnostic dimensions.
  • Leadership 360 360-degree feedback on the team and leadership behaviours the model measures, observed in individual leaders by self, manager, peers and direct reports. Reported per subject and as a cohort aggregate; not folded into the composite by default.

Results are reported against 9 maturity levels: Absent, Nearing Emerging, Emerging, Mature Emerging, Developing, Mature Developing, Established, Mature Established, Embedded.
